This is a piece of web software i will be using to produce and digitally distribut Genero in a few months time.

Issuu allows you to upload files from your computer and make them into a browsable digital magazine which you them post on your website,/blog, download and share with others.

Here is an example of what they do, with an issue of Ampersand magazine.

GENERO MAGAZINE LAUNCH ISSUE BRIEF.

Genero Magazine Launch Issue requirements:

Create a Piece in Response to the theme of "Cinematic"
accompanied by a 250-500 word write up which includes titles and explanations of all your work, a small bio about yourself, what you like/dislike and hope to achieve in the coming year, info about your practice/profession/location/contact details (eg web, email, phone etc), include your inspirations and aspirations as well as any professional work you've done.
And One golden rule/tip or advice you would give to anyone trying to launch themselves.

Print Work should be no more than A4 (210MM - 297MM) and saved as HI-RES Jpeg, PDF, PSD, AI files. (Full 4 colour)

Audio Work: MP3

Motion/Film: .MOV, MPEG, AVI, OR SWF (FLASH MOVIE)

Are you a young creative?

The Genero Project is looking for the cream of worldwide creative talent, whether it be Art, Design, Photography, Creative Writing, Film-Making, Documentary Makers, Musicians, Fashion Designer, we are looking for you to contribute, and get your work seen by a wider audience.

What Is The Genero Project?

Genero (Latin for create) is a publication which aims focus at purely emerging talent within the fields of creativity listed above.

Production begins early 2009 (Feb-March), it will be published quarterly and distributed via the internet and eventually throughout boutiques and shops, it will also be available in digital format and for download as a PDF.
